I love the water, particularly warm, tropical water. You know the kind...often seen in travel brochures...the crystal clear, azure blue water that contrasts so nicely with brilliant white sand and maybe a palm tree or two.
Swimming or just floating, I love to be in the water. It is good for the soul.
But even more than being in the water, I love being under the water. There is so much to explore and see! Recently I was in Mexico and had a wonderful time watching Giant Sea Turtles, Spotted Eagle Rays and a huge variety of multi-coloured fish. I was thrilled to see the intricate detail in the Turtle's shell and the pattern of spots on the Ray. I couldn't help but think of Nemo while watching beautiful green and yellow and blue fish, all in brilliantly clear detail.
How was I able to see with such clarity underwater? With a quality snorkeling set. What a difference it makes to use good equipment. There was no fogging of lenses, no leaking of water. My feet were comfortable inside lightweight and efficient fins; my snorkel kept water out and allowed easy breathing.
